I write this letter as an attempt to sing the praises of my two Phonak hearing aids. I love them!
I was fitted with my first hearing aid in February of 2009 for my left ear. This is my ‘good’ ear considering that I have little to no hearing in my right ear. I had never worn a hearing aid before and once I put this in my good (left) ear, a whole world opened up. I heard sounds that I had forgotten about: the refrigerator running, the dishwasher, the wind, raindrops, background music….It was wonderful.
Then just last month, July 2009, Dr. Dan Schneider asked me to come to his office to try something new. He told me that he would like to try to put a hearing aid in my ‘bad’ ear. I didn’t understand why but, having unyielding faith in Dr. Schneider, I said, “Let’s try it.”
When he explained how the second hearing aid would work and how easy it was to wear, I was very impressed and extremely excited. I was given two new hearing aids that would work together in tandem and I would now begin to hear sounds on my (bad) right side. He showed me how to wear them, how to push the button, listen for the appropriate beeps and then magically, I had hearing in my right ear! It was amazing. Prior to this, when people would talk and they were standing or sitting to my right, I always had to turn my body toward them in order to hear them. Now I can hear them without turning my body. It is making life so much easier and so much better. I am a kindergarten teacher and am looking forward to having an easier year with my students since I will hear them more clearly and have a better sense of location. Previously, I could not tell where a voice was coming from and now with both ears allowing sound in, I can locate the origin of the sound much easier that ever before.
These hearing aids reduce background noise, but when I put the hearing aids into the noise reduction program I do lose the benefit of hearing from both sides. Dr. Schneider is hoping that this feature will be added in the near future.
The Phonak hearing aids are beyond wonderful and have made me a more confidant and more productive person. Thank you for making them and working with people who have to live with the disability of hearing loss.
Sincerely,
Nora

I am writing to tell you how pleased I am with my new “dot by ReSound” hearing aids. The sound quality is outstanding and they do quite well in allowing me to hear in a noisy environment. The feature that so dramatically distinguishes these hearing aids from those I wore during the past five years and earlier is their remarkable small size and appearance. I no longer need to remove the hearing aid before putting on the in-ear Bluetooth earpiece that I use when phoning from my car. The over-the-ear attachment fits easily over the unit behind my ear. While on an airplane and elsewhere, I can also use a variety of headphones that cover most or all of my external ear. Some but not all of these headphones produce unpleasant feedback that can be stopped simply by opening the battery door without even removing the unit. The hearing aids are nearly invisible, both because the unit behind the ear is so small and because the small plastic tube traveling from the unit to my ear canal contains a copper wire that makes the tube skin colored. Altogether, these are the best hearing aids I have had by a wide margin.

I just wanted to thank you for your outstanding service and the superior product that I received when I attended your center. In the past, I had purchased another brand of hearing aids and I was less than satisfied. Neither the audiologist nor I were satisfied with the results. After telling a friend about this frustrating experience, she recommended The Audiology Center and Genesee Hearing Services.
Since I have started seeing Dr. Daniel Schneider at Genesee Hearing Services, I have been totally pleased with the results. Both the services I received and the new hearing aids were exemplary. I will be sure to tell anyone who asks that I had an excellent experience with The Audiology Center and Genesee Hearing Services.

I no longer feel handicapped by my hearing loss. I have no trouble in any listening situation. Whether it is eating out at a restaurant, listening to people sitting on my right side, or answering the telephone in any setting, the hearing aids sound natural. I couldn’t ask for any more from them.
Thank you for your patience in programming and fitting. It’s just perfect.

My wife and I just moved back to the Buffalo area and her hearing aid, which we had purchased in Florida, had stopped working.
Being new to the area, we didn’t know where to go to have them repaired. It was our lucky day when we chose Genesee Hearing Services. We walked into their office and we were greeted warmly. We explained the problem and it made no difference that we purchased the hearing aid elsewhere, they were happy to serve us. They repaired her hearing aids and to this day, they are still servicing them and treating us as though we had purchased the hearing aids from them.
I also needed hearing aids, and without any hesitation I purchased them at Genesee Hearing Services. I’m so glad I did. I know I’m in good hands and it is so nice to be worry free.

Need new hearing aids?
After 15 years of having my ears plugged with hearing aids and yet still not being able to hear all that well, I finally did something about it, thanks to my wife.
A flier came in the mail advertising a “New” kind of hearing aid with Genesee Hearing Services and listed Dr. Schneider as the audiologist. I made an appointment for a hearing evaluation and found Dr. Schneider’s evaluation to be the most complete I have ever had…and I have had four tests in the past.
I have had my new hearing aids for three weeks now and the TV volume went from a setting of 12 down to a 7. In noisy crowds I can hear perfectly whereas here to fore I was an observer and not a participant in conversations.
I can attribute all of this to a man who reminds me of an old time physician, not in age but in professionalism. Dr. Schneider is not in a hurry and gives you all of his attention. In my estimation he is a master of his professions. If anyone is in need of hearing devices, I highly recommend, without reservation, Genesee Hearing Services and Dr. Schneider.
I might also point out that all of the office staff shares his enthusiasm, professionalism, and caring attitude. This really doesn’t even begin to express my satisfaction with you and your services.
