We also offer free lifetime service on our hearing aids so that any adjustments, cleaning and regular maintenance, or in-house repairs are covered at no charge.
intro: ABR-Diagnostic Auditory brainstem response (ABR) is a diagnostic test which is similar to an elctroencephalogram (EEG). This procedure involves the use of clicking sounds to stimulate the auditory nerve, which produces an electical response. Electrodes placed on the patient's face and ears pick up the electical activity of the nerve, and a computer displays the results for the audiologist to interpret. Also known as BERA, BAER.
intro: The inner ear is responsible for both hearing and balance. Electronystagmography (that's why we call it ENG - it's shorter) is a battery of tests designed to evaluate part of the inner ear balance system, as well as more "central" components that work together to keep you on an even keel.
intro: Custom-made earmolds, custom-made noise protection earmolds, and swim molds can be made in-office at our Earmold Lab, or sent out to a company for certain specialty products we don’t do in the office.
intro: At the hearing aid evaluation, you and your audiologist will determine which type of hearing aid is best for you and your unique needs, including the style, circuit, and number of hearing aids necessary. This choice should reflect your needs, preferences, and budget. It should also include your lifestyle and activity level, medical conditions, physical characteristics and limitations, cosmetic and style preferences.
intro: We offer a wide selection of hearing aids, including digital processing and digitally programmable, from a variety of manufacturers. We will work with you to find the best solution for your hearing healthcare needs within your budget.
intro: We can repair approximately 80% of hearing aids in our in-house repair lab while you wait. Those we cannot repair can be sent to an all-make repair lab and will be repaired quickly at a reasonable cost. We can also supply you with a loaner hearing aid to use until yours comes back.
intro: Otoacoustic Emissions testing helps us to determine the health and viability of the hair cells in your cochlea. These tiny hairs are similar to nerve endings in the organ of hearing. Often times, damage to these hair cells can be detected even before the actual hearing loss is noticed.
